Caregiving Support Across the Employee Lifespan

Your employees are raising children, supporting aging parents, or doing both at once. Care Map Expert turns that reality into a program: assessed, mapped, designed and delivered, then reviewed through utilization and feedback.

What this looks like

The situations already inside your workforce.

  • 01

Employees managing children, aging parents, or both at the same time.

  • 02

Caregiving disruptions that show up as attention, attendance and capacity problems long before anyone names the cause.

  • 03

Benefits that exist on paper but do not give an employee practical care navigation in the week they need it.

  • 04

Managers without the language or the boundaries to support a caregiving employee well.

  • 05

Employees who wait until a caregiving situation becomes a crisis before asking anyone at work for help.

  • 06

Programs that cannot show whether they are being used, or by whom.

Why information is not enough

A resource list is not a decision.

Caregiving is not an information gap. It is a judgment problem with competing needs, and it changes month to month.

Competing needs inside one household
A working parent and an adult child of an aging parent are often the same employee. What helps one part of that load can make the other part harder. A program has to hold both.
Tradeoffs, not answers
Cost, proximity, safety, dignity, autonomy and family capacity pull against each other. Generic content cannot tell an employee which tradeoff to accept. A mapped process can put the options in order.
Clinical and practical judgment
Deciding when a parent can no longer manage alone, or whether a nanny arrangement is working, requires someone who has sat with families making those calls, not a directory.
Timing
Caregiving needs escalate. Support offered before, during and after a caregiving event looks different in each phase, and that sequence belongs in the program design.

The process

How a program gets built.

Caregiving support mapped across the employee lifespan.

  1. AssessUnderstand the population, the existing benefits, and where caregiving load is actually landing.
  2. MapMap the caregiving stages present in your workforce and what each stage needs.
  3. DesignDesign the program: which sessions, which resources, which manager education, in what order.
  4. DeliverDeliver the workshops, office hours, manager education and resource library.
  5. Measure and RefineReview utilization and feedback, then adjust the program to what employees actually use.

Measurement is reviewed through utilization and feedback. No specific return on investment is promised, and no clinical or business outcome is guaranteed.

What Care Map Expert does

The program components.

  1. Working Parent Program

Sessions and resources for employees managing childcare, development and behavior questions alongside a full workload.

  2. Aging Parent Planning Program

Structured planning for employees supporting a parent through a change in living arrangements, capacity or health.

  3. Sandwich Generation Program

For employees carrying both directions at once: how to sequence decisions when two households need attention.

  4. Caregiver Burnout and Family Care Workshops

Workshops on caregiving load, boundaries, family role clarity and sustainable care arrangements.

  5. Caregiving Office Hours

Recurring open sessions where employees bring a live caregiving decision and leave with a next step.

  6. Manager Education

Practical language and boundaries for managers: what to say, what not to ask, and where to route an employee.

  7. Care Map Digital Resource Library

Care Maps, decision structures and educational material employees can use on their own time.

Across the employee lifespan

One employee, every stage of care.

Childcare and eldercare are the same employee at different points in a working life. The program follows that line rather than treating each demand as a separate benefit.

Questions buyers ask

Before you inquire.

Employers, benefits teams, EAP partners and benefits platforms that want caregiving support employees can actually use, across childcare, eldercare and both at once.
