The Component

What It Is and Who It Serves

Caregiver Burnout and Family Care Workshops are live educational sessions for employees carrying the planning, coordination and emotional load of family care. They are designed for situations where responsibilities have accumulated, roles are unclear or an arrangement depends too heavily on one person.

The workshops make caregiving work discussable without requiring anyone to share a private story in front of colleagues. A session can focus on caregiving load, boundaries, family role clarity or sustainable care arrangements, using the Care Map Method™ to move from a broad concern toward practical questions and next steps.

Delivery

How It Runs

Workshops are one of the live delivery structures already included in the corporate caregiving program. The organization and Tammy select the subject based on the employee population, existing benefits and questions the program needs to address. The session can stand on its own or sit within a sequence that includes office hours, manager education and digital resources.

Employees take part as learners, not therapy clients. They can apply the framework privately to their own circumstances or use it to understand family-care decisions more generally. Follow-through can be supported through caregiving office hours and relevant materials in the digital resource library.

Practical Difference

What It Changes

For Employees

The work addresses vague overload by helping employees name the planning, noticing, coordination and backup responsibility inside care. It provides language for boundaries and family roles, then shows how to review whether an arrangement still fits the people relying on it.

Employees leave with a clearer way to identify the part of the care system that needs attention. The workshop does not promise to remove strain or resolve a family conflict.

For Managers

For managers, workshops provide a shared educational resource that does not make the supervisor responsible for caregiving advice. When paired with Manager Education, the employee and manager sides of the workplace conversation can each receive appropriate language and boundaries.

Program Architecture

Where It Fits

The workshops can introduce ideas that employees explore further in Caregiving Office Hours or through the Digital Resource Library. They can support the Working Parent, Aging Parent Planning and Sandwich Generation programs with focused education. Manager Education remains the companion component for supervisors and people leaders.

Corporate caregiving programs are educational and strategic. They are not psychotherapy and do not create a therapist–client relationship with an organization or its employees.
